Dr. Lucia Bortolini

Dr. Lucia Bortolini comleted her Master Degree in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Padova (Italy). PhD in Agricultural Mechanics and Mechanization. From 2002 she is Assistant Professor at the Dept. TESAF (Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry) of the University of Padova (Italy).She teaches at the University of Padova: Landscape irrigation, Irrigation systems, Maintenance of green areas. Visiting professor at Universidad de Elche (Spain), Universidad National de Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), HTW Dresden (Germany), Bukhara State University (Uzbekistan), Urgench State University (Uzbekistan).Topics of her research activities are: irrigation systems and innovative irrigation technologies with low environmental impact, green infrastructures for the sustainable management of stormwater runoff (green roofs, rain garden, bioretention, etc.), horticultural and landscape mechanization, application of hydrological models in the agricultural field, risk analysis in the workplaces for the maintenance of the green spaces.She published more than 80 scientific papers (some of them in ISI/Scopus journals) and she attained numerous international conferences and workshops, also as invited speaker.Supervisor of more than 100 graduate and PhD students.Reviewer of some scientific journals (among the others Journal of Hydrology, Irrigation and Drainage, Urban Forestry and Urban Greening). Expert Peer-Review for the scientific evaluation of Italian research of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.
